Nepal Highlights: Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan: 7 days
Kathmandu is rich with ancient temples from the Hindu religion and historic stupas from the Buddhist religion. These two cultures and religions have been living peacefully side by side for centuries, making Nepal wealthy in culture, tradition, and harmony.
On this tour, you will be immersed in UNESCO Heritage Sites such as Patan Durbar Square, where you can temples dating back thousands of years. You will experience the Royal complex at Kathmandu Durbar Square, which was residence to Nepal’s royal family before the construction of the Narayanhiti Royal Palace. There are around 50 temples in the vicinity including the temple of the royal family – Taleju Bhawani. Important ceremonies, including the coronation of the Nepali monarch, are held in the Kathmandu Durbar Square.
You will also visit the famous Swaymbhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple) and learn about the gruesome reality at Pashupatinath Temple and why it is said to be one of the holiest of temples in Nepal.
From Kathmandu, this tour will take you to the lazy lakeside town of Pokhara.
Pokhara is the gateway to the Himalayas. This gorgeous, sleepy town is a mirror of Kathmandu’s Thamel scene on a larger scale. It ticks all the right boxes when it comes to stunning scenery, adventure, and heavenly accommodation choices and food.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,300m /4,264ft).
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Travel Society Nepal. After sorting out your custom formalities (Visa, etc) you will be then transferred to the hotel. The representative will help you check into your designated hotel and give you some time to freshen up. After this, you will be invited to a typical Nepali welcome dinner that will include a cultural dance performed by the local women. You then return to your hotel for your first overnight stay at the hotel (D)
Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing
Kathmandu is the cultural heart of Nepal and has been a famous destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its borders to visitors. The city displays an interesting combination of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influences in the valley. Patan and Bhaktapur, the two important neighboring cities bear much cultural and religious significance to Nepal’s landscape. There will be a full-day guided tour to the historic sights such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddha Nath). Afterward, you can visit our local projects that support women and children in education. Stay overnight at hotel. (B)
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara: (7-8 hours drive)
At 6:30 am, you will travel to Pokhara by tourist bus along the Trishuli and Marshyadgdi River and through the beautiful countryside of Nepal that offers wonderful mountain sceneries. When you arrive, you will check into your hotel and receive a welcome drink. After settling in, you can go boating on Fewa Lake, visit Tal Barahi Temple and explore the sights of Pokhara including the caves, temples, and lakes. Stay overnight at hotel (B)
Day 04: Pokhara Sightseeing
Wake up early to see the sunrise at one of the most famous sunrise spots in Pokhara – Sarangkot. After breakfast, we will visit Davis fall, Gupteshwor cave, Int’l Mountain Museum, Bindhyabasini temple, White river (Seti Gorge) and Regional Museum. Spend the evening having dinner by the river. Overnight stay at hotel. (B)
Day 05: Pokhara to Chitwan (5-6 hours drive)
Once you arrive in Chitwan, a Travel Society Treks representative will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. Refreshment drink and briefing about the accommodation and the facilities will shortly follow. After lunch, our manager will brief you about the program.

Day 06: Chitwan National Park: Jungle Activities
Today is jam-packed with activities such as bird watching, canoeing on Rapti River, elephant safari, a nature walk and swimming with elephants. The program is flexible and can be adjusted to what you want to do:

In the evening; you will be invited to a well known Nepali kitchen for a delicious farewell dinner of authentic Nepalese cuisine. Stay overnight at your hotel in Kathmandu (B, D)
