This legendary episode is depicted in a very nice stone slab which is right next to a holy stupa.

Pride of this place goes to the massive, three-tiered Indreshwor Mahadev. Some authorities believe this to be the original structure that was raised here in 1294 AD, which would make it the oldest surviving structure in Nepal. The shrine area is called the Khware’, a tranquil spot, popular for meditation. Along the trail, you will have the opportunity to come across ancient temples and interesting old houses, along with fourteenth-century wooden temple struts. From Panauti, we drive back to Kathmandu.
