Paragliding in Nepal

Paragliding in Pokhara is one of the most exhilarating, highly recommended adventure sports in Nepal. It is one of the youngest sporting events of the country that started in 2007 in Pokhara Lakeside. The views of the surrounding Himalayan mountains from the sky, and the green forests, and blue lakes down below will leave you completely breathless.

After you’ve run off the side of the mountain and into the sky, it’s an ecstatic feeling to feel the wind in your hair as you whirl around the sky and look down to see villages, temples, and lakes down below from the sky.

Moreover, if it’s a clear day, you will see towering mountains all around you namely Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Lamjung Himal, Annapurna, and Himchuli. After 30-40 minutes, you’ll safely land in Lakeside as you reflect on your adventurous morning!

After being picked up from your hotel, you will be driven to Sarankot where you will take flight with your pilot. Both pilot and passenger have their own harnesses that are attached to each other and the wing. Paragliding harnesses are for the comfort and safety of the adventurers which are attached to the seat so it feels more like an armchair.

After take-off, the passenger just sits back and enjoys the beautiful views of Himalayas, rivers, lakes, and landscapes. Pictures and video capture will be taken by your pilot so this once in a lifetime moment will be captured!

Once you’ve landed at Lakeside, you will be transported back to your hotel in time for lunch.

Performing this type of adventurous activity does not need any kind of experience but guts are needed for sure. There is no age limit, but kids and elderly people are recommended not to fly because of the safety factor. Windproof jackets and sturdy shoes are required for this sport to prevent getting cold. We also have set our weight limit at 100 kg for your safety.
