Dolpo region is a high altitude and culturally Tibetan region in the upper part of Western Nepal. Dolpo is home to the sixth highest mountain in the world Mt. Dhaulagiri (8172mtr.) Almost 90% of the region in Dolpo lies above 3500mtr and holds the record for being home to some of the highest villages on earth. It is one of the least densely populated area of Nepal with only five thousand people living in this region.
